Our Story
TourVigator was born from a simple observation: the world has extraordinary places and experiences, but discovering and booking them is not always as simple as it should be.
Behind every memorable trip is a local business, guide, instructor, captain, driver, host, or experience creator who knows their destination better than anyone. Yet many of these businesses depend on fragmented technology and large platforms that were not built around their needs.
From Zanzibar, we set out to build a different kind of marketplace: technology that can connect independent experience providers with travelers around the world while giving suppliers the tools they need to manage their own activities, availability, bookings, and business.
The Founder
TourVigator was founded by Mr. Abdulla, a technology professional and entrepreneur from Zanzibar with a background in software development, systems, and digital solutions.
Working closely with technology and businesses in Zanzibar and Tanzania exposed him to an important gap: talented local businesses could offer exceptional experiences, but reaching international customers often required relying on platforms and systems built far away from the destinations themselves.
The idea behind TourVigator was therefore not simply to create another booking website. It was to build technology that could bring together travelers and independent experience providers through a modern marketplace — starting from Zanzibar and expanding beyond geographical borders.
Today, that vision is bigger than one destination. TourVigator is designed to welcome suppliers from different countries and help travelers discover experiences wherever their journeys take them.

Our role is to provide the marketplace technology that helps travelers discover experiences and helps suppliers manage their presence, bookings, availability, payments, and customer relationships through the platform.
This model allows the platform to grow across destinations while preserving the independence and local expertise of the businesses that actually deliver the experiences.
