Our Story
TourVigator is founded and managed by Abdulla A. Haji. After years working in tourism across Zanzibar and Tanzania mainland — including founding Cocos Nucifera Tours and Safaris — he knew how hard it was for local operators to reach travelers without giving up control of their bookings and cash flow.
Too many East African operators had to depend on platforms built elsewhere: listings that did not fit the region, payouts that arrived only at month-end, and little say in how their businesses were shown to the world. TourVigator was drafted in 2024 as a marketplace for this region, by someone who had lived that problem.
The company is registered in Zanzibar, Tanzania (registration number Z0000255822), with its office at Fuoni Ijitimain, Nyumba Moja. We operate as a commercial agent: we help travelers book and pay, and we collect payment on behalf of suppliers. The activity itself is always delivered by the independent operator.
When a booking is confirmed and completed, suppliers can request payment without waiting until the end of the month. That is the commitment behind TourVigator — better tools for operators, clearer bookings for travelers, and a platform that represents East Africa starting from Zanzibar.
